Sound Field Comparison

Classroom Audio Distribution System (CADS) or Soundfield System Comparison

Frequently, I am asked about the optimal sound field system or which one to invest in. This is never a straightforward answer, particularly considering that we sell and support all three major sound field systems in Australia: Phonak’s Roger SoundField, Lightspeed Tek’s Redcat SoundField, and FrontRow’s Juno system. While there are other solutions available, these three are the most common, popular, portable, and retro-fitted options on the market.

To provide a comprehensive comparison, I have excluded financial interest from a company’s profitability standpoint and any school-specific requirements. I have then conducted a direct comparison of the main features on a datasheet.

Although it is challenging to separate the systems solely based on a datasheet, this may assist you in determining which system is most suitable for your school or student needs. I continue to encourage each school to contact our team to discuss each individual’s needs to ensure that you receive a system that meets your requirements and enables you to achieve your desired outcome.

While selecting the appropriate system for your needs is a crucial component of a system’s success in the classroom, Hear Room believes that the most significant success stems from the appropriate professional development for teachers and staff, ensuring that each system is utilised effectively and all its benefits are realised.
